1965 VW 21 Window Samba RHD Devon Conver

For sale, 1965 original British RHD 21 window Samba Devon Caravette interior.

Just completed a comprehensive 8 year full restoration, first time on the road since 1998.

One off chance to acquire a very rare camper in stunning condition. Very reluctant sale.

Bodywork;

All rust removed and repaired. All paint removed. Body now totally rust free.

Painted in its original colour of sea blue and blue white.

Waxoil applied to all cavities and to underneath surfaces.

New canvas cover fitted to sunroof.

New rubbers fitted to all windows and doors.

Original delux trim sanded and polished and fitted with new inserts

Interior;

Taken back to bare metal and re-painted.

New headlining fitted.

Original interior panels re-trimmed in new vinyl.

Front seats re-trimmed using new coconut fibre pads and new seat covers.

Devon Woodwork restored to original condition. Original Easycool coolbox and Dudley oven both stripped and repainted. New rear seat covers made in material to match the original. New curtains fitted.

Mechanical;

Original 1500 single port engine stripped and re-painted and rebuilt, converted to 12 volts.

gearbox and reduction hubs re-painted,

All brake lines replaced. NOS VW master cylinder, ATE brake cylinders and brake pipes. New shoes fitted

All suspension parts removed stripped painted and refitted with new seals. New shocks fitted

Original wheels stripped and repainted fitted with new tyres and stainless steel hub caps and beauty rings
