West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster in the highly desirable and very rare striking color combination of original factory 'Black Pearl Metallic' color clear coat paint with a newly reupholstered Burgundy leather 2+2 interior, brand new German canvas black soft top, matching color factory hard top and factory chrome alloy wheels!
The car's factory options include: automatic transmission with torque converter, power assisted steering, cruise control, electric window lifts, electrically heated rear window on hard top, fully independent suspension, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, anti-lock braking system, limited slip differential, full leather upholstery, automatic antenna, Halogen fog lamps, 'Becker' radio/cassette, automatic air conditioning with climate control and central locking.
The original, very rare and beautiful 'Black Pearl' color factory color paint is in absolutely exceptional condition with only very minor imperfections only noticeable upon close inspection, such as a couple of very minor scratches which have been touched up with touch up paint on the soft top compartment, obviously made during a novice's removal of the hardtop (see photos below). The Burgundy leather seats are flawless with both front and rear jump seats having just been reupholstered and professionally installed at the renown 'New Life Upholstery' of Los Angeles, California along with a brand new German canvas soft top and as previously stated the car has it's original and also factory matching color hard top.
The car has its original owners manual, dealer stamped service booklet and service history showing that at no time was any expense spared in this vehicles preventive maintenance - literally thousands and thousands of dollars spent over the years as required with the car being serviced primarily at Mercedes dealerships or specialists since new including in recent years at 'Heinz Gietz' of La Jolla, California and most recently 'Mercedes-Benz' of Beverly Hills, CA at 82,194 miles.
The car drives exactly like such a well maintained and serviced Mercedes should and must be seen and driven to be truly appreciated! The engine is extremely strong with no noticeable oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool. Every option is working as it should including the A/C.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest classically beautiful roadster designs built by Mercedes-Benz, probably the last classically beautiful convertible series they built and now becoming more desirable and collectible than ever before - certainly you will look long and hard to find a finer head-turning example of this 560SL series available anywhere else!
