West Coast Classics are proud to present a rare and all original surviving example of this 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof (Fastback) with it's original 351 Cleveland 2 barrel engine, automatic transmission and which was born and still boasts its original ‘Bright Lime' color paint with all original 'Green All Vinyl Standard' Interior, 2.75:1 Axle, Power Steering, original AM 'Philco' Radio, Disc Brakes and showing 79K miles which is most likely original too!
Inside and out the 1972 Mustangs look virtually identical to the 1971 models but with the Mach 1 model having the rear pop-open gas cap deleted and replaced by the standard Mustang version. This all original survivor with its original 'Bright Lime' paint shows only minimal wear for its age in the form of some very minor dings and scratches (see photos below). The original 'Green All Vinyl' standard interior is in very good condition with no major flaws whatsoever.
The original matching # 351 2V V8 engine would seem to have only approximately 79K original miles and the car certainly drives like it! The car has all it’s original solid and rust free Ford sheet metal with its striking original Ford 'Bright Lime' paint looking awesome! The car was sold on 6/2/1972 at 'Gene Jones Ford' of Austin, Texas and unbelievably still boasts its original selling dealers sticker on the rear deck lid.
This particular example must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - a very striking example which turns heads wherever she goes! The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent, the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
This must be one of the finest all original surviving example's available anywhere of this increasingly collectible and desirable 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 which will surely prove to be a wonderful investment for the American classic car collector or Mustang enthusiast!
