The 1100, project AD016, was launched in 1962 with disc brakes, front wheel drive and hydrolastic suspension. It was successful with long waiting lists in the 60’s, and very advanced.
This car is a 1970 MK2 Austin 1300 automatic in “Limeflower” with a black interior. It has covered 11,000 miles with one owner from new verified by every old MOT back to its first in 1974. We have just carried out some cosmetic re-commissioning but it was under-sealed and garaged from new so it has not been welded or repaired and the all important sills are original.
The body has had some cosmetic paintwork but is rust free and in beautiful condition. The interior is more or less as new. As you would expect, this very low mileage Austin drives beautifully, everything works and the auto – box changes up and down as it should.
This is perhaps the lowest mileage automatic ADO 16 left, very cheap to run and an inexpensive route to much admiration on the classic show circuit this summer. Comes with original manual both old style log books, current V5c showing one owner from new, various bills and spare keys. Full MOT. Tax Exempt. Viewing near Woburn, Beds.
