Jaguar Etype 2+2 V12 Manual Series 3 - 1971
Model History
The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupé) and as convertible (OTS or Open Two Seater). The 2+2 version with a lengthened wheelbase was released several years later. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made". The model was made in three distinct versions which are now generally referred to as "Series 1", "Series 2" and "Series 3". A transitional series between Series 1 and Series 2 is known unofficially as "Series 1½". Only 7297 Series 3 Fixed head coupe's were produced between 1971-1975.
Interior & Equipment
The original tan interior is superb, the leather has been refurbished and is immaculate. The carpets and sound proofing are new throughout as is the headlining. All original gauges and switches work perfectly as they should and a new 1970's radio has been fitted with an ipod connector should you need it. The dash and door cards are also original and unmarked.
Exterior
The bodywork and paintwork is again is beautiful throughout having been fully restored in the 90s, there are no signs of rust or blistering anywhere. The bonnet is immaculate as is the inner side of wheel arches, underneath is immaculate with some detailing. The car has not been used in inclement weather and we believe this is why the car is so good. The fully restored Webasto sunroof is perfect both inside and out and is surprisingly quiet on the motorway.
Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
The chrome wire wheels are in superb condition and have a full set of matching Pirelli tyres which are almost new.
Engine & Transmission
The brakes have had a recent complete overhaul, including new discs, pads and calipers. New shock absorbers all round of which the front are adjustable. Mechanically she is excellent throughout, no fluid leaks what so ever. She starts first time every time, the clutch and 4 speed manual gear box operate effortlessly. The V12 sound through the new full stainless steel quad exhaust is heaven.

Having only had 5 previous owners this excellent usable example has been lovingly cherished and no expense spared in keeping her in the top condition she is presented in today.
If your looking for a very clean show standard but usable Etype rather than a trailer queen then this is for you. There is nothing to do to this car other than clean and enjoy at your leisure.
