1955 Mercedes Benz 300 S 2 Door Coupe

Without doubt this is one of the most sought after classic Mercedes Benz of the post-war period. Fewer of these cars were made than the infamous Gullwing making them a truly rare & desirable collectors car. We believe that only 760 300 S/Sc cars left the factory between 1951 & 1958 with some 560 made from 1951 to 1955.
Finished in black with red leather interior. Left hand drive, 6 cylinder engine on triple carbs coupled to 4 speed manual gearbox; column change.
When new these cars were 100MPH touring, which was remarkable for the era. The car is also fitted with an optional brake servo.
Bodywork is all straight & correct but has several paint blemishes, although no rust or dents. The interior has the original red leather with beautiful woodwork. All the instruments work correctly and has some lovely period luggage.
Having been to Essen this year & seen the price of the 300 Coupe's there, this car is very competitively priced.
