Reistered in 1937 this Austin 7 Opal was the subject of a 20 year restoration and then held in a private collection being little used ever since.
Over recent times the engine was rebuilt by respected Austin 7 experts 'Austineers' and has covered only 20 miles since.
This little car just has to be the best possible example of the marque available today.
We are currently in the processs of registering this car on the DVLA system.

This adorable little car had a maticules restoration by its current owner. It had a total of 6 owners in Sweden and was first time in traffic here in 1976. I would have to say that this is a very well maintained car that is ready to drive anywhere. It is a lovley color combination with burgandy and black. Interior is in black and in a very nice condition. There is to many new things on the car to be listed here. But as you can also see on the pictures it is a new soft top that also has special side windows, tyres are new, interior, spedometer wire, engine is overhouled. You do not see many of these around anymore today and certainly not in this nice condition. This Austin Seven Chummy can be seen in our showroom in Lomma together with all the other classic cars we have for sale. Located very close to Copenhagen airport and ferry to Germany.
Classix by Schiebler is located in Lomma 10 min from the ferry to Germany and 20min from Copenhagen airport. We speak German, English, Scandinavian languages. You will always find more and bigger pictures, video on our website www.angelscars.se

ARU 541 was first registered on the 28th March 1935. We know prior to 1961 the Austin Ten was in Poole, Dorset before moving to the North of England in 1963. The 'buff' logbook shows the Reverend owner in Dorset moved to Selby and sold the car in 1964 to a fellow neighbour in the same town. In 1965 the vehicle moved to Halifax, later Pontefract and then settled in Leeds from 1969 to 2007. The one owner in Rothwell, Leeds owned the car from 1969 and registered the car in his sons name in 1998. After 38 years with the same family, the vehicle was sold to an owner Hartlepool before we sold the car to the previous owner in Harrogate back in 2010.
We have previous tax discs dating back to 1971 and set of MOT certificates dating back to 1983. From these records we can see the Austin has covered over 20,000 miles since 1971 and has been kept on the road, in regular use. There are some receipts for various work over the years including a re-trim in 2006 with a reputable West Yorkshire trimmer. The Austin has been maintained very well and a result has a lovely sweet engine holding very good oil pressure. The Austin is a pleasant driver and has been used for local runs and rallies. The car still holds its original number and with hand painted bodywork, looks a real time piece.

Launched in 1922, the Austin Seven was an unprecedented success that not only saved Austin but wiped out most other small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s. Simply yet brilliantly engineered by Herbert Austin and his young protégé, Stanley Edge, at Austin’s Lickey Grange home, it quite literally put Britain on the road.
Occupying barely more tarmac than a motorcycle and sidecar, it still had all the comforts of a family saloon and boasted such luxuries as four-wheel drum brakes and (from 1924) an electric starter. Built around an A-frame chassis, it was powered by a 10hp 747cc four-cylinder sidevalve engine mated to a three-speed manual transmission. Suspension was by transverse-leaf springs at the front and quarter-elliptics to the rear. Available in numerous different body styles, it remained in production until 1939. Tough, easy to maintain and huge fun to drive, it has long been the backbone of the vintage car movement.
This prime example dates from 1932 and is one of the last 50 or so RNs built. As a change-over model it has a number of the later RP features incorporated, including a rear fuel tank, 4 speed synchro gearbox, internal rear body seams yet retaining the earlier Pitchley sun-roof, the later RPs having sunroofs of Austin’s own manufacture. It carries the correct RN body number.
The previous owner purchased the car in 1991 and comprehensively restored it to a high standard over the period. Masses of receipts show that a new floor, rear wings, sills and springs all round have been fitted. The wheels have been rebuilt, a laminated screen fitted as well as new chrome, battery and wiring in the correct armoured cable. The interior trim has been replaced by Brian Purves, the author of the “Definitive Austin 7” book, the whole car now looking beautiful and running superbly.
There are few cars that are as much fun to own as an Austin 7 and due to their diminutive size space can always be found to squeeze one into the garage. No collection is complete without one, this lovely example being available at a fraction of the cost of restoring one to this standard.
Part exchange considered.
Please call me on 01676 533949 for an appointment to view.

This super little car is the product of the knowledge and expertise of well known Austin Seven exponent Barry Clarke. As this particular model desn't appear to have been put into production Barry based its appearance entirely on a drawing published in the December 1922 edition of The Light Car and Cyclecar which is, I believe, the only known picture of the car. He had, over many years of Austin Seven ownership, accumulated many early parts and this presented itself as an ideal opportunity to put them to good use - I have summarised below the construction of the car so that you can see just how far he has gone to make the car as authentic as possible and why it deserves to be viewed as so much more than just another Austin Seven special.
The chassis is an early Austin Seven unit which has been remade to 1922 specification in that it has a different nosepiece with two rather than four bolts. It has an early front axle which doesn't have any shock absorber mountings, it has oilers rather than greasers for the king pins and there is no lubricating facility for the track rod ends. The correct 5.4 to 1 back axle doesn't have any strengthening webs cast into the differential housing, the front and rear spring shackles have correct early greasers and the beaded edge wheels are fitted with early 6 inch brake drums.
The "no cooling fan" engine is 747 cc as specfied in the 1922 Light Car and Cyclecar magazine and the cylinder head, which has the number XL 845 FD cast into it, incorporates fuel priming taps for the cylinders as the early carburettor doesnt have a built in choke mechanism. To make life easier when driving in modern traffic the car has been fitted with a starter motor and it has a Blic rather than a Scintilla magneto, I am told this is because a Blic will apparently generate a better spark at low speeds than a Scintilla should you wish to revert to hand starting the engine. Please note that the Blic has just been professionally refurbished. By the way the magneto retaining strap is correctly made in two parts than one. The car also has the correct early dynamo as fitted to cars without starter motors. The car has an early gearbox with a metal rather than a fabric universal joint.
It has a four spoke steering wheel which is a specially made replica of an original early wheel and the gas and ignition levers on the steering wheel have correct period dished ends. The body, which is as accurate as it can be given only one drawing of the car exists, looks to be correct and has good period detailing. It was built by Austin Seven expert Keith Roach who is very well known for the quality and accuracy of the vintage Austin Seven bodies he builds.
This car is surely a "must have" for serious Austin Seven collectors in that as far as we know no other example exists so you can own something unique and be able to experience just what driving the first Austin sports model would have been like if they had built it!

AUSTIN 7 TOURER CONVERTIBLE, Maroon / Black Hood, Wire Wheels, 1129 miles,
A huge success from the moment deliveries commenced in January 1923, the Austin Seven remained in production until 1939. Simply constructed, economical and easily maintained by the home mechanic, the Seven brought motoring within the financial reach of the man in the street, who hitherto would probably have settled for a motorcycle combination. Its introduction helped save the ailing Austin concern and by the mid-1920s the Seven dominated the light car market in Britain. In essence the Seven changed little in the course of its 17 years in production, retaining the 'A'-frame chassis, transverse front spring, rear quarter elliptics and four-cylinder sidevalve engine to the end. There were, of course, numerous detail improvements along the way, a longer wheelbase, roomier bodies, coupled brakes and a three-bearing crankshaft to name but four. The sole version available when production commenced was the 'Chummy' tourer. Saloon, fabric saloon and coupé models, plus a roomier tourer, were on offer by 1929 when the example offered here was manufactured. One of the first Austin Seven saloons was the 'Top Hat', so called because of its upright, formal-looking, straight-sided coachwork, which was panelled in aluminium to save weight and boasted elaborate cloth interior trim, and unusual feature in a British car at the time. But of all the many versions offered, it is the humble 'Chummy' that remains for many enthusiasts the quintessential Seven and today these charming little cars are highly sought after.
We are advised that this particular Chummy was rescued from a scrap yard and painstakingly restored by a previous owner, the work being completed approximately three years ago. A file of photographs recording the comprehensive 'chassis upwards' restoration, which included a re-trimmed interior and new hood, comes with the car. Probably one of the best around - a credit to the restorer and now ready for a season's classic motoring.

1934 AUSTIN 10/4 LICHFIELD
The Austin 10/4 Lichfield offered the pre-war buyers from the professional classes that little extra room and horsepower compared with the ubiquitous 'Seven'. The dashboard was well equipped and finished in polished wood, opening front screen, fold-flat boot lid which could accomodate a travelling trunk and 12 volt electrics made this model an immediate success.
This London registered example remains in very original and useable condition and was last Mot'd in 2009 since when it has been carefully stored. It starts readily, settles down to a quiet tickover and both clutch and brakes function as they should. Bodywork is solid and paintwork reasonable. An ideal candidate to use and improve as required in the sound knowledge that its value should never diminish.

AUSTIN 1300 AUTOMATIC ONE OWNER AND 11,000 MILES FROM NEW !!
The 1100, project AD016, was launched in 1962 with disc brakes, front wheel drive and hydrolastic suspension. It was successful with long waiting lists in the 60’s, and very advanced.
This car is a 1970 MK2 Austin 1300 automatic in “Limeflower” with a black interior. It has covered 11,000 miles with one owner from new verified by every old MOT back to its first in 1974. We have just carried out some cosmetic re-commissioning but it was under-sealed and garaged from new so it has not been welded or repaired and the all important sills are original.
The body has had some cosmetic paintwork but is rust free and in beautiful condition. The interior is more or less as new. As you would expect, this very low mileage Austin drives beautifully, everything works and the auto – box changes up and down as it should.
This is perhaps the lowest mileage automatic ADO 16 left, very cheap to run and an inexpensive route to much admiration on the classic show circuit this summer. Comes with original manual both old style log books, current V5c showing one owner from new, various bills and spare keys. Full MOT. Tax Exempt. Viewing near Woburn, Beds.

THANKS FOR LOOKING. PLEASE CALL IF YOU NEED MORE DETAIL. WE ACCEPT DEBIT AND CREDIT CARDS. DELIVERY TO YOUR DOOR CAN BE ARRANGED. PART EXCHANGE POSSIBLE – PLEASE CALL TO DISCUSS.

AUSTIN 7 SPECIAL - A BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE SPECIAL !!
The Austin 7 or “baby Austin” was produced from 1922 until 1939, nearly 300,000 were built and it changed small car design for good, in much the same way that the Model “T” did in the U.S.
This car is an Austin “7” special based on a 1935 saloon. As you can see from the photos is simply beautiful in terms of condition, proportion and finish. It is also very useable with four-speed gearbox, distributor ignition and electric fan..
The last owner discovered this car as a barn find and treated it to a substantial re-commissioning (before using and showing it) - it is now a fully sorted car, on the button and ready to use.
This little Austin attracts huge attention and admiration and is unique. Please call for more detailed information regarding the specification, if required.

1973 AUSTIN 1300 Mk III
36,000 miles indicated and quite simply has to be correct because the condition is quite simply stunning! Probably the very best example of its type anywhere! Yes that good and not only that - possibly unique. The only flame red one known to exist. Great fun car to drive and I am certain the first to see will buy. In fact when my father sold these second hand he would expect the advert to appear in the Bradford Telegraph & Argus early Friday afternoon and it to be sold by teatime. Anyway don't miss this one.

1970 AUSTIN A55 VAN
For me this was my favourite looking of all 50's and 60;s British vans. Once a very common sight on our roads and inevitably a very rare one now! Nicely restored and repainted in dove grey and benefits from an older non-dating registration number. Very pleasing on the eye and all in good order. Fantastic way to promote your business. Rare opportunity so be quick!
